Mood Related Difficulties

Sometimes we don’t feel like ourselves. Feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, fatigue, or vulnerability are so heavy that they may keep you from getting out of bed. The cause of your sadness could be very real, painful and tangible. It could also be something unknown. While it is normal and human for anyone to experience moments of sadness or depression, there are times when your emotion (or lack thereof) affects your life negatively and you realize this is not how you want to be in this world. Our trained counsellors can sit with your sadness, loss, grief or depression and together we can find ways to bring you back into the person you want to be.

There are a variety of different approaches we can use to help you these may include:

  • Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MBCT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Reational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT)

    Our counselling and psychotherapy sessions are available in person in Kelowna or Online.
